ART DECO BUILDING

Le Loft Hotel has some “lofty” architectural heritage. Completed in 1920 by Montreal’s preeminent architect, Ernest Cormier, the building is one of the city’s enduring Art Deco landmarks.

Its uses over the years have been varied (and somewhat unusual) – from Montreal’s first underground parking garage (le Montée du Zouave of the Motordrome), to a storage space for Canadian Armed Forces tanks, and, perhaps most suitably, an “inspirational environment” for artists. With its rich history and great beauty now fully restored, we’re sure that you’ll find Le LoftHotel modern yet cozy accommodations just as inspiring.
